# E 300 – Askorbhape Askorbhape on teisiti nimetatud C-vitamiin, mis on oluline toitaine inimese tervisele. Toiduteolies kasutatakse seda konservandina ja oksüdeerimise takistajana, et hoida toiduaineid värskena ja takistada nende riknemist. Askorbhape on looduslikku päritolu aine, mis esineb looduses näiteks sidruni- ja oranžides, kuid toidulisandina kasutatavat versiooni toodetakse tavaliselt sünteetiliselt.
