# Sorbihape, bensohape ja bensoaadid Sorbihape, potassiumsorbaat, bensohape ja nende erinevad soolad kuuluvad säilitusainetele, mida kasutatakse toiduainete riknemise ja hallituse kasvu pidurdamiseks. Need ained võimaldavad pikendada toidukaupade säilivusaega ja hoida neid külmkapis pikemalt värskena. Valdav osa nendest ainetest on sünteesitud keemiliselt laboris, kuigi väikeses koguses esinevad need ka looduses, näiteks bensohape on leitud mõnedes marjades.
